A double comeback for Chokebore's Hawaiian frontman Troy Von Balthazar, who follows up the reissue of the iconic Black Black with a soothing seventh solo album. Recorded over the course of 2024 in autarky, in his Angoulême home studio, Aloha Means Goodbye is the modest, alleviating work of an artist who has rebuilt himself through his art. Often more acoustic than electric, wandering between light and shadow, these twelve tracks are adorned with melancholy trappings but exude a comforting warmth, like a balm for flayed souls. After more than 5 years without a record, Shannon Wright, American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer, announces her eleventh album, Reservoir of Love. Embodying the essence of her unique style, it delivers songs where intensity is sometimes embodied in electric rock blazes, sometimes in heart-rending ballads, adorned with choirs and strings, the warm sound of a Wurlitzer, a guitar or a piano. Haunted by illness and bereavement, produced in solitude, this album is bursting with energy, light and love. Listen to the first single and watch the video below.

Only one year after the release of their last studio album Pink Colour Surgery, warmly praised (featuring in top 2023 albums for Libération, Les Inrocks, Mowno; having TV appearances, recording a KEXP session, etc.), Psychotic Monks returns more confident than ever with Talking Through Repetition, a live rereading in the form of artistic achievement.
Very renowned for their ability to offer high-flying concerts, both fiery, experimental, and always deep in emotions, Psychotic Monks decided to record their current live set in the legendary Ile-de-France studios La Frette (Nick Cave, Arctic Monkeys, etc.), in order to record the vital essence of their music and share it more widely. The release of the double album, once again produced with style by accomplice Daniel Fox (Gilla Band, Lambrini Girls, Sprints), is scheduled for August 23rd and will undoubtedly contribute to establishing the French group as one of the most exciting and adventurous of his generation.
'This album was recorded entirely live in one take during the band’s 2023 tour, between a show in Dijon and Dunkerque. It serves as a testimony to the essence of our music at that moment.' - The Psychotic Monks
