Blurred Visions, the new album from Parisian trio Bleakness, is set for release on February 27, 2026! The records is already available for pre-order now and here on the Vicious Circle website.

The band draws its influences from English post-punk and Californian 80s death rock, blending them with the intensity and urgency of today’s punk/hardcore scene. The result is a dark post-punk sound, both energetic and melancholic, that revisits the atmosphere and rebellious spirit of the pre-goth scenes while injecting a solid dose of punk rage.

In 2025, Bleakness crossed the Atlantic for a US tour on the East Coast and throughout the Midwest, and took the opportunity to record their third album at House of Foto Studio in Louisville, Kentucky, produced by Ryan Patterson (Fotocrime, Coliseum). An intense week spent in the Germantown neighborhood refining the band’s sound and identity.

The Belgian trio today announced the release of their new album, HI HI HA HA, scheduled for January 30, 2026! 

HI HI HA HA is the bitter, acidic laugh that It It Anita fires back at a news cycle that gets more depressing — even more deadly — by the day. Their fifth album finds the Belgian noise-rock trio darker, tighter and more on edge than ever, just as we were barely coming down from the carefree, free-wheeling energy of Mouche. The mood grows heavier, more anxious. The tone turns provocative, defiant, razor-sharp. They push into unexplored sonic territory, yet nonchalance and humor still lurk in the shadows, ready to jump out without warning. Michael Goffard, Elliot Stassen and Bryan Hayart remain at the helm of the raging rock locomotive of the Franco-Belgian scene — one that’s now rolling further and further beyond.

More than a release, it’s a celebration of almost fifteen years of existence, of consistency and authenticity that undeniably command respect. And because you never change a winning team, this record marks their third stay at Amaury Sauvé’s The Apiary studio, and their fourth album under the Vicious Circle banner.

After the dark, industrial intensity of ‘Affection’, his first released track, Lila Sober (member of Psychotic Monks) is today releasing ‘Sober’, a new single and the second part of the video diptych directed by Hélène Delage. This track reveals a more raw and stripped-back side to his writing, with haunting, raw and resolutely modern folk.

Both tracks are taken from Lila Sober's debut album, Different Drums, due out on 14 November on Vicious Circle!

Lila Sober is the new solo project of Clément Caillierez, singer and musician with Psychotic Monks. His music is rooted in the sincerity of lived experience: the violence endured in childhood, the lasting marks, but also the paths toward repair, healing, and mutual support. With Different Drums, a debut album of striking intensity, Lila Sober builds a raw sonic landscape where folk, musique concrète, and industrial sounds intersect.

"This record is a testimony, the beginning of a healing process that started in 2020. I recorded it in my room in Rennes in 2024 with a classical guitar, a Behringer Pro 800, a Korg Volca Beats, and a Beta 58. I added no-input mixing, a technique of infinite feedback, to overload certain instruments. I wanted the lyrics to be very raw, without imagery, without ambiguity, leaving no doubt about the themes addressed: incest, post-traumatic stress, my mental health, and sobriety. With these songs, I stand for my truth. Healing will take a lifetime and will never be complete, absolute, but it exists. That is also what I want to share with this record: hope."

Lila Sober will be touring in France this fall.
